    About  Swami Vivekananda 

    Swami Vivekananda was born on January 12, 1863, in Calcutta. His real name was Narender Nath Dutt. His father’s name was Vishwanath Duttand, and his mother’s name was Bhuneshwari. He took higher education abroad and grew up and established the Ramakrishna mission through which he spread the propagation of Hinduism abroad.
    On September 11, 1893, Vivekananda’s iconic speech in the World Parliament of Religion in Chicago in the US is still famous worldwide. In the speech, he highlighted Intolerance, religion, and the need to end all forms of fanaticism and dwelt at length on Hinduism and Indian culture and had drawn all-around praise. He highlighted the following points also.

    1. He used the Sanskrit word “Vasudev kutumbhkam” to mean that the world is one family that was and should be our culture.
    2. We need to treat everyone equally, irrespective of their caste, creed, and gender.
    3. We should not lose our patience, politeness, and gratitude towards others. He explained this with an illustration :

    Once upon a time, a scorpion was stinging a monk while taking a bath, but the saint kept on saving the scorpion, so someone asked why you are saving the scorpion again and again? Saint said that stinging is the action performed by a scorpion, but if anyone is drowning, it’s my culture. Then he said that if the scorpion is not relieving his action, how can the saint relieve his action?

    Yuva Diwas (National Youth Day: Swami Vivekananda Jayanti) is celebrated on January 12 to recognise his contribution to Indian Society. The day marks the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.   • Income Tax Return Deadline Extended by CBDT

    Income tax return deadline extended by CBDT

    The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) extended the due dates till 15-March 2022 for all the taxpayers whose books of accounts who are required to be audited under any law like the companies Act, Societies Act, LLP Act, or Income tax act for the Assessment year or Financial year 2021-2022 on 11th January 2022. It is to be noted that the Income-tax return filing deadline is extended only in specific cases. The extension is only for corporates and entities that need to get their ITRs audited. However, the extension does not pertain to salaried individuals for whom the deadline was expired on December 31, 2021.
    The deadlines have been extended on consideration of difficulties reported by the taxpayers and the other stakeholders due to rising cases of covid and some glitches in the electronic filing of various reports of the audits for the assessment year 2021-22 under section 119 of the Act.
    The extension of dates had been announced by CBDT in the circular are as follows:

    1. The due date for submitting the Return of income for the Assessment Year 2021-2022 which was 31st October 2021 under sub-section(1) of section 139 of the act was extended to 30th November 2021 and then 15th February 2022 is now further extended to 15th March 2022.
    2.  The due date for submitting the Return of income for the Assessment Year 2021-2022 which was 30th November 2021 under sub-section(1) of section 139 of the act was extended to 31st December 2021 and then 28th February 2022 is now further extended to 15th March 2022
    3.  The due date for submitting of Report of Audit Tax under any provision of the Act for the previous year 2020-21 which was 31st October 2021 in the case of assesses referred in clause (aa) of explanation 2 to sub-section(1) of section 139 of the Act, is now further extended to 15th February 2022.
    4. The due date for submitting of Report of Audit under any provision of the Act for the previous year 2020-21 which was 30th September 2021 in the case of assesses refered in clause (a) of Explanation 2 to sub-section(1) of section 139 of the Act was extended to 31st October 2021 and then 15 January 2022 is now further extended to 15th February 2022
    5.  The due date for submitting of Report from an accountant by persons entering into an international transaction or specified domestic transaction under section 92E of the act for the previous year 2020-21 which was earlier on 31st October 2021 extended to 30th November 2021 and then 30th November 2021 to 31st January 2022 is now further extended to 15th February 2022.

    Do keep in mind that for individuals the date of filing income tax returns using ITR-1, ITR-2 and ITR-4 has expired on 31st December 2021.

    MILD OMICRON COVID SYMPTOMS: We are in 2022, but the circumstances are looking quite similar to 2020 and 2021, and the Night curfews encircle us, lockdowns and restrictions again. The sound of an ambulance has again started reverberating. The same devastating news started coming again. The condition of the economy has started deteriorating again. All this is happening because of the new variant “Omicron”.

    Covid 19 is changing, and various nations are discovering multiple variations. The Omicron variant is the latest covid mutation and the fifth variant to gain this status after Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta. However, Delta was the most dangerous variant until now, found in India in 2020. The new variant known as “Omicron” was recently discovered in South Africa. More than 50 mutations have been seen in this virus variant about the omicron variant. The spike protein that enables the virus to enter the body is observed very carefully because the virus spreads with the help of this protein, and 32 mutations have been discovered in the spike of protein in the Omicron, which means it has changed shape. It is claimed to be a massive jump in the evolution of the virus. That’s why it is more transmissible than previous variants.

    MILD OMICRON COVID SYMPTOMS

    Omicron patients are either asymptomatic or experience mild to moderate illness. Symptoms of Omicron are mild fever, fatigue, Runny nose, Headache, sore throat, and Sneezing; however, shortness of breath, loss of smell and taste are not being observed in the Omicron variant. Symptoms can also vary from person to person. Some common symptoms associated with Omicron

    1. The beginning symptoms are similar to the common cold with a mild sore throat and having a mild fever that goes away on its own.
    2. Fatigue which goes over a period.
    3. Scratchy Throat.
    4. Body pain

    These symptoms are going away within 6-7 days. Still, there is a symptom that case was not reported in previous variants, and the non classical symptom that can be seen in the omicron variant is that “Loss of Appetite”.People infected with the omicron virus have noticed a loss of appetite. Only 50% of cases experience earlier classic symptoms of fever, cough, throat pain, loss of smell, and tastes coming out from Delta Variant.

    What to do when we feel MILD OMICRON COVID SYMPTOMS?

    The best way is to get an RT PCR test done and get genome sequencing, and if the test comes positive, the first step is to isolate, continue monitoring symptoms and take necessary precautions.

    Do covid – 19 vaccines protect against the Omicron variant?

    Unfortunately, It is claimed that the new variant may easily infect people who have caught up virus earlier and were vaccinated earlier. The omicron variant may potentially infect more senior citizens, children below ten age. Therefore the government has begun giving booster doses of the covid 19 to priority groups due to the surge of Covid cases. This booster dose has been dubbed as a preventive dose by PM Narender Modi. The government began administering vaccines to 15-18 years old children last week. However, it is assumed that this variant is less dangerous than previous variants. So it’s a sign of relief.
